A Cut Above The Rest
"Numark Scratch is a 24-bit two-channel mixer that redefines what you can do with an affordable 2-channel scratch mixer. With Scratch, you’ll be able to create and perform at a higher level than you ever thought was possible—especially with a mixer in the affordable price category. Scratch combines professional-level performance and outright DJing fun in a way nothing else ever has. You’ve got to experience it to really see what it’s all about!" - Numark

Yes yes Y'all! Introducing the Numark Scratch Mixer. This is a new mixer by Numark that everyone should consider in investing in and or trying out! Honestly, this is a mixer for anyone from the curious beginner Dj unsure what mixer to get to the seasoned DJ needing a light mixer for a short gig. Basically it's for everyone! For anyone who knows me, knows that I like products that are for and by the DJ Community, and this is one those products that get my stamp of approval!

"Scratch is really something special—It brings a new look and design to the mixer category. It boasts an all-metal build with professional features such as a built-in Innofader crossfader, performance pads, instant loop encoder, and toggle paddles to trigger software-based effects. To top it off, it comes with Serato DJ Pro and Scratch is Serato DVS ready." -Numark

From my experience it's a great tool that every Dj needs to get their hands on at some point. The built quality is great! The size is just right and traveling with it won't and shouldn't be a hassle much, depending on how much you travel with. The layout of this mixer is not complicated and or confusing to navigate around. Everything that you basically need is all in one area. The cue pads have a nice feel to it and the faders are on point! If you think about it, this mixer is almost like a mini combo of an Rane 62 and Rane 72 mixer but in a much simpler version.

Let's talk about the super smooth InnoFader.

"Our butter-smooth Innofader crossfader is designed with the turntablist in mind to perform most intricate and accurate scratches. You have two switches above the crossfader; 1.) reverse the channels and the other 2.) change the slope for a hard cut or a soft curve for mixing." - Numark

Anyone who has experienced cutting on an InnoFader can say that it's one of the top faders to cut with. It precise and smooth with out the feel of tension. This fader glides across without the need of putting any excess pressure when executing cuts. I know I can't speak for everyone on how y'all cut, how much pressure you put on the fader and or how y'all position your hands but in my over all experience with the InnoFader - its a good feel!

There is satisfaction in knowing that this fader will not let you down!

So another question y'all been asking me is - "Is it battle worthy?? Can I battle with it?"

The answer is, it all depends on your style and how, what you want to do with it! We all have our style preferences and specific gear we like to perform with and that ok! I think this mixer will do great in any performace from a gig to a battle its all how you use and what you do with it. So in this case, Just Have Fun!
